SILVER, Irene Silver

Passed away peacefully at Lee Manor on Thursday, June 18, 2026. Born in Barrow-in-Furness, Lancashire, England on June 27, 1921, Emily Irene Silver (nee Redfern) of Owen Sound, was in her 105th year.

Beloved wife and best friend of the late Alexander Silver. Loving mother of Sandra Bragg (Jim), and Walter Silver. Cherished grandmother of Mark, Nicole, Scott, Julie, and of 5 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Albert William Redfern. Irene will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Solomon and Leticia Redfern, her daughter-in-law Sylvia, her grandson Mark Silver, and her great granddaughter Robyn Silver.

Irene was a dedicated wife and treasured her time with her children. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful, energetic and hard-working staff at Lee Manor. They were a complete joy to work with over the years. It is our mom’s desire to forgo a funeral service. To honour our mother’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. We invite you to privately celebrate Irene’s memory in your own way.
