Following the interment shiva visits will be in the Lower Level Common Room of 5444 Yonge Street until 9:00 p.m. The remainder of shiva will take place in Suite 906 of 5444 Yonge Street on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Evening services at 8:00 p.m. Shiva visits conclude Wednesday evening November 12th.

SIMON, Gerald (Jerry) Bernard, son of the late Meyer and Bertha Simon, passed peacefully, surrounded by family, and in the excellent care of Baycrest palliative staff on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

Loving husband to Claire Simon (nee Shukyn) and father and father-in-law to Rochelle and David Barkin, and Mark Simon and Dwight Hargrove. Proudest grandfather to Candice, and Alex and Krystyna. Devoted brother and brother-in-law to Linda and Danny Fine and uncle / great uncle to Debra, Joanna and Ian, Maia and Rachel.

Special thanks to the Baycrest Rehab and palliative teams who have provided extraordinary care throughout this journey.

Jerry will be missed by his many friends and family members.
