SKROBICA, Louise Carol Skrobica 

The family announces with sorrow the passing of Louise Skrobica at Terrace Lodge, Aylmer, Ontario on August 6, 2026, at the age of 97. She was predeceased by her husband, Bozidar (Bob); her parents, Lojza and Mike Ferko; her brother, Paul Ferko; and her sister, Diane Simunovic. She is survived by her son Michael Skrobica, her daughter Linda Vandeven, her grandchildren Adam (Sheena McDonald) and Cara Vandeven and her great-grandchildren, Isla and Neven. “Teta Lojza” will also be deeply missed by her nephews Paul and Walter (Rosanne) Simunovic and their children.

Louise Carol Skrobica was a devoted wife, mother, and cherished grandmother whose kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering support enriched the lives of her family. She lived with grace and dignity, bringing warmth and joy to everyone around her. Deeply proud of her Croatian heritage, Louise embraced life’s simple pleasures—from cheering on her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs to cooking and baking for those she held dear. She leaves behind a legacy of love and countless cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Special thanks to the staff at Terrace Lodge in Aylmer for their compassion and care of Louise through the course of her stay there.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Donohue Funeral Home, London, Ontario. There will be a private service for immediate family members on Tuesday, August 11th.
