The family of Gerald Dwight Sleeper are saddened to announce his passing at Quinte Healthcare North Hastings on Monday, March 3, 2026 after a long battle with deteriorating lung disease. Gerald Sleeper, age 85 years, beloved husband of Delma Sleeper (Prentice) for 65 years. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred Sleeper and Margaret (Evans). Loving father of Marilyn Dillon, Tammy (Scott Adams) and the late Bruce Sleeper (Shelley) and Dwight Sleeper (Penny). Fond grandfather of Kyle (Kayla), David (Amber), David Prentice, Amber Prentice and Douglas Sleeper and great grandfather of Lilliana, Avery, Charlotte and Blake. Brother in law to Marion Watt (Vern). He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Gerald’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Bancroft Pentecostal Church 311 Hastings St. N. Bancroft on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 pm. Rev. John Riley officiating. Interment Thornton Cemetery, 1200 Thornton Road N. Oshawa on Friday, March 6 at 1:30 pm.
