Passed away peacefully at her residence in Orillia, surrounded by her family on Friday 21 November 2025 at the age of 98 years. Dorothy was the eldest daughter of Milton and Janet McBurney and was born in Windsor, Ontario. A long life, well lived, she graduated as a Registered Nurse from Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in 1949 and was always interested in observing the profession evolve. Predeceased by her sister Jean (1956), her husband Ross (2012), her son Andrew (2022). Survived by her sister Gwen (London), her cherished children Ivan (Pauline) of London, Daniel of Toronto, Janet (Stephen) of Orillia and grandchildren Pamela, Rebecca, Olivia, Mary-Jo and Malcolm plus the next generation Jameson, Hannah and Howard. Cremation has taken place, and no services will be held at this time. Celebration of life will take place in the spring of 2026.
