Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family on August 18th 2025, at the age of 84.

Beloved husband and best friend of Frankie Smith.

Survived by sister Ray (Ted) Hinds, Nola (Haynes) Darlington, predeceased by siblings, Noel (Gaby) Smith, Linda (Dean) Goddard, Don Smith, Sparky Smith. Brother-in-law to DeVere (Andria) Murrell, Jocelyn Keykhosravi, and Adrian Murrell.

Wayne is lovingly remembered by his nieces & nephews: Gordon Smith, James Smith, Russell Smith, Nick Goddard, Gillian McCarthy, Roberta Lumb, Eammon Smith, Justin Smith, Natasha Smith, Shawn Darlington, Tracey Sharma, Allison Hinds, Lisa Salmon, Shayla Murrell, Matthew Murrell, Daniel Murrell, and Tanya Murrell. Survived by great-nephew Wesley Murrell, and cousin Joycelyn Forde and her family.

Fondly remembered by his great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family & friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday September 6th, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. A service honouring Wayne’s life will follow in the Barnes Chapel at 11:30.

Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Association and would be appreciated.
