SORENSEN, Keith Irvin Sorensen

Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on May 20, 2026. Keith Sorensen of Lakefield, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Barbara Jean Sorensen (née Berner). Dear father of Ryan (Lisa), Kyle (Lindsey), and Brock (Margo). Devoted grandfather of Cohen, Madden, and Baker. Keith is survived by his siblings Barb, Betty (Philip), Roger (Mary) as well as brother and sister-in laws Mark (Shelley), Brad (Laurie), Sandi (Larry) and Paul (Lee). Keith will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Keith Irvin Sorensen worked as an electrician at Quaker Oats in Peterborough as well as Unimin at the Nephton mine site. He was known as a handyman who was happy to help anyone in need, and was a proud member of the “9^th Line Cartel”. Keith loved watching his boys and grandkids at the arena. He cheered on many hockey and lacrosse games from the stands, and during the intermissions he could always be found socializing in the parking lot with friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. A Celebration of Life will be held at Quarry Golf Club, 447 Tara Road, Ennismore, on Sunday May 31^st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Words will be shared at 3:00 PM.
