Barry was a resilient, cherished, and beloved individual. Barry fought long and hard against his battle with cancer, resting peacefully now, with his family by his side every step of the way, until the very end. He was a very loved grandfather, father, brother, and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lorrie, his son Josh, his daughter Desiree and her husband Lance, and his grandchildren Damien, Theo, and Gracie. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law Mike Cameron, his nephew and nieces Maya, Brody, Kobe, Kirsten and Ryan as well as a long list of loving friends, including his partner Jay Clark, Larry, Rob, and Richard.
The family extends their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at West Coast General Hospital and Nanaimo Regional Hospital for their care and support.
A celebration of Barry’s life will be announced at a later date. Donations in his memory can be made to the BC Cancer Society.
