The family of Clyde Erwin Spears, announce his passing on July 18, 2025 in Bowmanville, Ontario surrounded by family. Clyde was a quiet, private person who loved painting, sketching, reading anything and everything, following sports and the daily NASA science report, and keeping tabs on the activities of his large extended family. Earlier in life he loved fishing, golfing, curling, woodworking and creating beautiful wire jellewery.

Born in Spanish Ship Bay, Nova Scotia to the late Lowell and Margaret (Hartling) Spears, Clyde was a loving husband of the late Juanita May Spears (Williams). Father of Robert Wayne Spears (April Temple), Carol Marguerite Lanthier (Frank), Rodger Erwin Spears, Karen Darlene Ruiter & Juanita Marie Spears (Joseph Solway). Predeceased by 6 brothers (Kenneth, William (Bill), Keith, Edwin, Leonard, one sister (Ruby Maguerite Jodrey) & survived by brother Robert (Bob) Spears. Lovingly remembered by many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street, Bowmanville, on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 12 PM, with the service beginning at 1PM. A reception will follow at the conclusion of the service.
