STEBBE, Joan Marie Stebbe

The time has come to say goodbye to Joan Marie Stebbe. Joan passed away at 89 years of age at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre. Born in Dayspring, Nova Scotia, Joan moved to Oakville, Ontario in 1958 to start her nursing career at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital. The family settled in Brantford in 1972 where Joan worked as a nurse, with pride, at Brantford General Hospital and retired in 1996. Dear Mother to Todd of Brantford, Richard of Waterloo and Shelley (Richard Shantz) of Kitchener. Predeceased by her late husband Alvin Stebbe. Joan will be missed by her sister Linda Rodgers (Ralph) of Brantford and Richard Fraser (Mary Lou) of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by sister Marilyn (Wayne White) of Brantford, brother Gary of Halifax, brother Gerald of Halifax and brother Junior of Halifax. She will also be missed by her eleven nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff on Bluebird at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre. The gentle care provided for Joan over the years was greatly appreciated by the family. A private memorial will be planned by the family.
