STERLING, Theodore “Ted” Sterling

A lifelong resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance – Chatham Site, at the age of 81.

Ted was the beloved son of the late Augustin “Gus” and Rose (Belanger) Sterling.

He was the father of Shawn (Lori) Sterling and Dwayne Sterling and grandfather to Shayla (Cory) Robertson.

Ted will be sadly missed by his siblings and in-laws: Marjorie (Don) Benedict, Bonita Broad, Cheryl (Bill) Sanderson, Joy Sterling, Lori Sterling, and Kenny Day. He was predeceased by his brothers Don Sterling and Jim Sterling, and by his sister Ruth LaMarsh-Day.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Ted is resting at Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., where family and friends are invited to gather and honour Ted’s life.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and may be left at the funeral home.
