STEWART, Donald Albert Stewart

Passed away in Oshawa on December 30, 2025, after a brief fight with cancer. Don was a gifted athlete, starring on championship football teams in high school and at the University of Western Ontario before playing several seasons with the Regina Roughriders of the CFL. After his football career, Don served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and later worked for many years at General Motors in Oshawa until his retirement. He remained dedicated to physical fitness throughout his life and enjoyed spending time at the Army/Navy Club, where he was an avid pool player.

Don was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Ruth Stewart, and sisters Margarete Hill (Nova Scotia) and Pauline Cain (Oakville). He is survived by his brothers Bill (Brampton) and Peter (Stratford), along with many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all.
