In Loving Memory of Annette Lillian Strachan (née Hedges)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Annette Strachan (née Hedges), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Annette passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that will never be forgotten.
Annette was the devoted and loving wife of Ronald Strachan of Oshawa. Together, they built a life full of love, and unwavering support for their family. She was a cherished mother to the late Stephen Strachan, Linda Binning (John), Cheryl Cooper (Paul), Karen Strachan (Dave) and Mike Strachan (Sinead). Her love extended deeply to her 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored with all her heart.
Annette dedicated much of her life to working with children with special needs—a true reflection of her gentle spirit and boundless compassion. She brought joy, patience, and warmth into every life she touched, both personally and professionally.
She will be remembered for her big heart, her fun-loving nature, and the amazing woman she was to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her presence lit up every room, and her loss leaves a profound void in the lives of her family and friends.
Annette’s memory will be cherished forever, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
She will be dearly missed.
