SUTTON, Ross Sutton

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ross Sutton who left us August 7, 2026 at the age of 70. Ross passed away after a battle with heart disease at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with loved ones by his side. Ross greatest joy was found in his home with his wife Cindy who was the love of his life for 50 years. They were best of friends and forever soulmates. Son of the late Sarah and Angus Sutton and son-in-law of the late Joyce and Vern Chilton. Amazing father to Ryan,( Alyssa) Melissa and the late Michael Sutton. Proud Papa of Isabella, Chelsea and Nathan. Ross will be so missed by his brother and best friend JR Chilton(Lillian) Sadly missed by his sister Shirley(Gene) , Lou, Lynn and his late brother Bob Sutton (,sister in law Cathy.)

Beloved brother-in-law of Michelle and Randy. Uncle of many and especially loved by Jason (Gina) Sutton and Julie (Rob) Lafluer. Ross had a fulfilling career with C.P.Rail for 33 years and retired at 55 in 2011. Since retiring Ross and Cindy enjoyed cruising and trips. Enjoyed a beautiful lake house for many years. Ross was a man of quiet passions. He loved watching his Toronto Blue Jays, Golf, tennis, cart. He was the master of the remote. Oh and an avid CP24 watcher. He loved playing cards in and out of the casino with his family and friends.

Most especially with their friends Melody and Craig Esson. Thank you to all our family and friends through this difficult time. A special mention to Frank Devine for all his support and prayers. Ross will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. In keeping with his wishes no service will be held.
