Peacefully passed away, at home in her sleep, on September 12, 2026, at the age of 87.
Beloved wife of Vince for 64 wonderful years. Loving mother of James and his wife Margaret and Linda and her husband Brian. Cherished grandmother of Lauren.
Born in Windsor, Ontario, Sue was lovingly raised in a close-knit, extended family, and began her brief career as a medical technician in open heart surgery at Detroit’s Harper Hospital before marrying Vince. After the birth of their children, Sue dedicated her time to being a full-time mother and devoted wife, following Vince to Oshawa where they made their home when he began his career with General Motors in 1965. Sue had a vivacious love of life, celebrating milestones and travelling the world with family and friends. She also enjoyed spending many winters in the warmth of the Florida sun with Vince. Sue was a dedicated and active member of the St. Mary of the People CWL, having just received her 60 years certificate and pin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the People Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
