SWEETING, Barbara Joan Sweeting

Passed away at the P.R.H.C. on Thursday May 7, 2026.  Joan Sweeting of Peterborough in her 92^nd year.

Barbara Joan Sweeting and Doug were long time members of Park Street Baptist Church, Peterborough.  Joan worked hard on the family farm and cherished her role as a grandmother in retirement.

She is loved and missed by her daughter Jo-Anne Sweeting (André) of Peterborough, son John Sweeting of Tweed, granddaughter Brianna Sweeting and grandson Jack Sweeting.

Joan is remembered by her dear friends Nancy, Shirley and Vilda, nephew Paul Sweeting (Elaine), several other nieces and nephews and her grand-pet Baxter.

Joan is predeceased by her husband Doug (1992), parents Bob & Mildred Rollins, sister Faye Sweeting (Ralph) and brother Robert Rollins.  In keeping with Joan’s wishes, a private family graveside service has taken place at Lakefield Cemetery.
