SZCZECH, Stanislaw Szczech

We are saddened to announce the passing of Stanislaw Szczech on April 27, 2026, at the age of 73, at his home in Toronto. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Stanislaw is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Wladyslawa; his son, Pawel (Maria); his daughter, Katarzyna (Sean); and his cherished grandson, Paul. He will also be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends in both Canada and Poland.

Stanislaw had a passion for gardening and took great pride in caring for his fruit trees, especially his pear tree. He was an avid supporter of Polish soccer and followed the sport with great enthusiasm. A talented handyman, he had a remarkable ability to build and fix almost anything around his home. Known for his generosity, Stanislaw was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and even strangers.

He also treasured his annual vacations to Cuba with his wife, where he enjoyed relaxing on the beach and spending quality time together.

Friends are invited to gather at Ridley Funeral Home (3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W., Etobicoke) on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with prayers at 5:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa’s Roman Catholic Church (100 Tenth St., Etobicoke). Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery.
