Roger “Brian” Taillieu passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, surrounded by his family at Erie Shores Hospice, at the age of 70. Brian was a loving father to Steven Taillieu and his daughter-in-law Jessica. He was a dear brother to Ron (Tracey), Rick (Florence), Jim (Tina) Klerks, and Helenne (Neil) Walker. Brian was also an uncle to many nieces and nephews, including Melissa, Ryan, Kevin, Mathew, Brad, Lindsey, Scott (Laura), Kari, Kate, and Laura. He was predeceased by his parents, Roger and Jeanne Taillieu. Brian is remembered fondly by Elizabeth “Liz” Taillieu, his extended family, and beloved friends.

Brian was very athletic in his early years, excelling in various sports like baseball, volleyball, basketball, and cross-country running. He won many championships in high school sports. Later in life, his passions expanded to food and cooking, where he enjoyed experimenting with new recipes. Brian had a collection of over 200 cookbooks. He also pursued photography, astronomy, R/C aviation, and sailing with his family. Brian’s greatest achievement came in lawn bowling, winning the club singles tournament in 2014 and representing Canada at the World Short Mat Championships in Manchester, England, in 2016. His ability to find joy in both intricate hobbies and the vast universe reminds us to pursue our passions at any stage of life.
