We are sad to announce that at the age of 71, Tannis Louise Hahner passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026. She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Werner; her son, Allen; and her sister and brother-in-law, Naydene and Kim.
As a Canada Post letter carrier, a job that she held for many years, Tannis enjoyed talking to all the people on her routes, especially the people in Arbutus Ridge. Once she retired, she moved to West Kelowna with her family.
An amazing seamstress, Tannis could sew anything imaginable. From Barbie clothes and teddy bears to chat mats – you name it, she could sew it. Her sewing room was a dream come true for any seamstress.
Tannis will be dearly missed by her friends, her online Wordscape community, and her family.
