It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we announce the peaceful passing of Iolanda Tavernese (née Panetta) on June 11, 2025, surrounded by her family at the age of 86. Born on December 10, 1938, in Reggio Calabria, Italy.

Loving wife of Rocco. Beloved mother of Natalina (Mario). Proud Nonna of Stefania (Joseph), Andrea (Meca), and Krizia. Adored Bisnonna of Brielle and Valentino. Iolanda will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of her many extended family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East, Thornhill, Ontario.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:30 pm in the Chapel of St. Joseph at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home. Entombment will be private at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
