Of St. Thomas, ON, formerly of Belmont, passed away at the Tillsonburg District General Hospital on Friday, August 7, 2026, in her 95th year. Wife of the late John E. “Jack” Hudson (2023). Mother of Doug Hudson and his wife Kelly, John Hudson and his partner Teri, late (infant) Joan Elaine Hudson (1953), and the late Paul Hudson (2023). Grammie of Becky Girden and her husband Dave, Jason Hudson, Megan Cobb, Chad Hudson and his wife Kayla, Breann Malysz and her husband Mario, and James Hudson. Sister-in-law of Gayle, Carol, Joan, Marg, and Mildred. Remembered by Sandi Hudson. Also survived by her 11 great grandchildren and her nieces, nephews, and their families. Thelma was predeceased by her siblings, Dorothy, Art, David, and Murray Silver.
Born in Aldborough Twp., ON, August 17, 1931, she was a daughter of the late George and Lillian (née Harris) Silver. Thelma was a PSW for ten years. She was a 4-H leader in earlier years, and was a former volunteer with the VON, St. Thomas. Thelma enjoyed quilting for many years.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519) 631-1160.
