
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Therese Derdaele-Gadoury (Robak) on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County, surrounded by the love of her family, at the age of 80. Beloved and devoted wife of Michel Gadoury. Loving mother of Patrick (Lori) Robak Jr., Dan (Paula) Robak, Anne (Scott) Tazzman, Nicole (James) Carr, Gerard (Michelle) Gadoury, Paul Gadoury, Rose Gadoury, Marc (Joy) Gadoury, and Philippe Gadoury. Cherished Grand-maman and Mémè to 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy. Dear sister of Rose (Don) Bates, Frances (Mary) Derdaele, Claudette Derdaele (Hugh Farquhar), and the late Marcel Derdaele (survived by Margaret). Dear sister-in-law of Gerard (Lise) Gadoury, Therese Gadoury, Richard (Marianne Perron-Gadoury) Gadoury, and the late Jacques Vallière (survived by Rita). Theresa was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mae Derdaele. She will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Theresa will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her devotion to her family, and her generous heart. A proud member of the Catholic Women’s League, she found great joy in cooking, gardening, and serving others. Her love, kindness, and strong Catholic faith were the foundation of her life and will remain an inspiration to all who knew her. Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor, on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Parish prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne Parish, Tecumseh, on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Ste-Anne Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County, Ste-Anne Parish, or the Academie of Ste-Cécile in Therese’s memory.
