It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Irene Thibeau nee McNeill on September 15, 2025 in her 79th year. Dear mother to Troy and Tanya Thibeau (Trevor Pilgrim). Loving Nona to Sadie-May and Seth Pilgrim. Survived by sisters Jean (Paul) McLenaghan, Joan Kinch, Kimberley (Kean) Durant and brother Johnny McNeill and brother and sisters-in-law Reid (Ellen) Thibeau, Shirley (Guy) Madaire and Fern (Brian) McQuade.
Predeceased by her loving husband Gary, mother and father Ruby and John McNeill, mother and father-in-law Grace and Leslie Thibeau, brother Billy McNeill and brother and sister-in-law Douglas Kinch and Beverly McNeill. Missed by many nieces and nephews.
Barb met Gary when she was living in Smiths Falls at the age of 16 and 2 years later they were married. They then moved to Kingston and lived there for 20 years. They then decided to move back to Cobden and take over the family beef farm where they spent the rest of their years. Barb will always be remembered for her great sense of humour, generosity and love of Euchre, Phase 10 and Yahtzee.
A private graveside service will be held at a future date. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
