THIBERT, Mark Thibert

His loving family on Tuesday, May 12, Mark Thibert passed away peacefully at the age of 42. Mark was an incredibly strong person who faced many challenges throughout his life, yet he always found a way to make the most of every moment. He consistently put others before himself, and everyone who knew him felt the kindness, generosity, and big heart he carried with him.

He was a passionate sports fan – especially when it came to cheering on the Detroit Red Wings, Pistons, Lions and Tigers – as well as an animal lover and music enthusiast. Mark was also a talented guitarist who found joy and comfort in music. Whether he was doing the things he loved or spending time with the people he cared about, in the words of Metallica, “nothing else mattered.”

Mark leaves behind his loving parents, Barb and Keith; his sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Andrew; his brother, Jeffrey; and his cherished nieces, Lucy and Sophia. He will also be deeply missed by his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Mark’s passing leaves a space in the hearts of those who loved him that can never truly be filled. He will be remembered for his strength, his heart, and the lasting impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation and Celebration of Mark’s Life will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Saturday, May 16th, from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Cremation to follow. Please feel free to wear your favourite sports attire in honour of Mark’s love of sports. If you wish, donations can be made to the Windsor Essex County Humane Society.
