Brian fought his personal demons, but anyone who knew him would know, as his niece, Denise put it β¦βhe had a kind spirit, a good heart and a gentle soulβ. Kids and dogs knew his heart and took to him instantly. He made friends easily with his easy-going ways.
Brian worked as a master cabinet maker, creating and re-finishing many beautiful pieces, often for friends and family. He was very proud of his work, especially when bringing old pieces back to life.
He loved classic rock, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith among his favourites, and took in concerts when he could.
We will cherish the memories of him in his youth, with our gang, camping at βthe lotβ in summerβ¦ the campfires, the music and the laughter and many Saturday nights at the Running Pump.
Most recently, Brian enjoyed his time with his good friends at his favourite pub.
At Brianβs request, there will not be a funeral service, but a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Our special thank you to the staff of the palliative care unit at Scarborough General Hospital. You are angels in scrubs. Our highest praise and gratitude to Dr. Abdulhussein for his advice, support and kindness. You are a very special man.
You are healed and strong again, Brian. Go with our angels. You will be missed.
