TREMBLAY, Dawn Tremblay

Passed away peacefully at Chapman House on Monday, May 11, 2026. Born in Regina on November 2, 1960, Dawn Marie Tremblay of Owen Sound was in her 66th year.

Beloved wife of David Walton of Owen Sound. Loving mother of David Askwith (Nina) of Thunder Bay and Graham Askwith (Roslyn) of Toronto. Treasured stepmother of Benjamin Walton (Wendy) of Ireland, Simon Walton of Guelph, Maxwell Walton (Jennifer) of Collingwood and Jesse Walton (Candice) of Guelph. Cherished grandma of Madelyn, Christopher, Theo and Beckham. Dear daughter of Brent and Jean Tremblay of Burlington, and sister of Laura Tremblay (Jeff Beasley) of Burlington. Dawn will also be missed by her many siblings-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Dawn was a teacher for many years who enjoyed educating her students. She liked to spend her free time creating masterpieces in fibre art, water colour, weaving, sewing, and she loved the great outdoors, especially on the open waters. In the end, Dawn would like everyone to remember the following: “The experience and fullness and largeness of life. The impact I have had in exploration, nature and the process of making, learning and sharing. I am an authentic and caring human who, like all people, makes mistakes and learns from them”.

In keeping with Dawn’s wishes, cremation is taking place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
