Monique Turgeon (née Duval) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the Timmins and District Hospital, at the age of 85.

Beloved wife of Jean Turgeon for 62 wonderful years. Loving mother of Maryse Boileau (Jacques) and Guy Turgeon (Nicole). Proud grandmother of Mélissa (Joel), Valérie (Maxim), Karine (Dany-Pierre), Justin (Valérie), and Joel. Adored great-grandmother of Abigail, Charlotte, Pénélope, Loïc, and Maël.

Monique will be deeply missed by her siblings Robert Duval (Carole), Suzanne Duval (François Bideau), Eugène Duval (Michelle), and Paule Duval (Jean-Pierre Bouffard), as well as her in-laws from the Turgeon family.

A devoted member of the Daughters of Isabella and Les Dames St-Dominique, Monique dedicated many years to the liturgy committee at St-Dominique Parish. A passionate reader, she found great joy in books.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Maisonneuve for years of compassionate care, and to Huguette and Onil Deschatelets for their invaluable support in recent months.

Visitation: Friday, August 15, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lessard Stephens Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass: Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St-Dominique Parish, followed by a reception at the Lessard Reception Centre.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
