Valerie Eileen Hadac passed away peacefully on October 30th, 2026, surrounded by love.
Born on December 28, 1948, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Valerie later moved to Edmonton, where she met and married her beloved husband, Michael. Together, they eventually settled in Abbotsford, British Columbia, to build their home and raise their family.
Valerie's greatest happiness and pride came from her family. She delighted in seeing her daughters—Nicole (husband Jason) and Danna (husband Matt)—and her cherished grandchildren—Ava, Aiden, Greyson, and Caleb—grow into happy, successful families. She adored each of her grandchildren and was immensely proud of them all.
Professionally, Valerie dedicated over 40 years of her life to working as a telephone operator. Exceptionally skilled and deeply committed to her work, she formed many lasting friendships throughout her long career. In her later years, she discovered a true passion for golf, enjoying both the challenge of the game and the wonderful friendships it brought into her life.
Valerie is survived by her daughters, Nicole (Jason) and Danna (Matt); her four grandchildren; her sister, Audrey Gerwing; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael; her parents, Tony and Margaret (Britz) Gerwing; her sisters, Mel, Mona and Mary Ellen and her brother, Bob.
Valerie will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
