VASILOPOULOS, Demitrios Vasilopoulos

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden loss of Demitrios (Jimmy) Vasilopoulos, who passed away on June 24th, 2026 at the age of 67, in Toronto, Ontario.

Jimmy was born on August 9th, 1958 in Sparta, Greece to parents Spiros and Giannoula Vasilopoulos. He grew up in Toronto and spent his career as a ticket broker. Jimmy is survived by his sister Voula, his niece Ginny and his sister-in law Rosa, as well as his many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Spiros and Giannoula, his older brother Chris and his younger sister Kathy.

Jimmy was a gentle giant. He will be remembered for his kind heart, easy going attitude, and love of animals. He will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his family and friends.

A memorial and visitation will be held on Monday, June 29th from 4-8pm at Heritage Funeral Home (50 Overlea Blvd, Toronto, ON M4H 1B6).
