Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday July 11, 2026 at 49 years of age.

Loving father of Alexander and step father of Robert.

Beloved son of Kathy and Ken Van De Velde.

Cherished brother of Tiffany and the late Peter.

Dear uncle of Cody, Devon, and Arianna.

“Andrew Edgar van de Velde will be remembered for his quick wit, stubborn determination, generous heart, and quiet acts of kindness. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—time with family and friends, home-cooked meals, long walks, swimming, hiking, card games, video games, and evenings around a campfire. Whether he was fixing a computer, lending a helping hand, or making someone laugh, Andrew had a special way of showing he cared. His greatest legacy is the memories he created with those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed and forever remembered.”
