Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 3, 2026 at 60 years of age. Loving and devoted wife of Richard with whom she celebrated 37 years of marriage. Loving daughter of Larry and Sharon Mills. Daughter in law of Joe and the late Gail Verbeek. Dear mother of Travis, Sadie (Brian) and Emma. Sister of Michael (Becky) Mills, Patti (Derek) Lloyd and Josh (Stacey) Mills. Sister-in-law of Steve (Kim) Verbeek, Joe (Simone) Verbeek, and Louise (late Dave) Verbeek. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Shelley felt lucky to spend her days working alongside her family at Mills Woodworking. She looked forward to Wednesdays with her kids and Sundays with the whole family. She had artistic hands and an eye for design. She loved gardening in the summer sun, chocolate or coffee at any hour of the day, and being fashionably late. If shop till you drop was a person, it would be Shelley.

Shelley has always been the most kind and giving person. She spent her life donating to those who need it. Always thinking about others before herself. She said God gave it to her to give. She carried herself with grace and beauty like none other. She lived her life with God and love first. Her faith flowed through her and into the hearts of those around her.

Even through her darkest battle, Shelley’s strength, courage and faith shined through. Her fight has and will be an inspiration to us all. It is hard to encapsulate a life of someone as special as Shelley. She was the most amazing mother, wife and the greatest friend. Always making sure everyone was included and loved. We are beyond blessed and lucky that she shared her 60 short years of life with us. In the words of Shelley; be good to each other.
