Passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Michelina. He will be dearly missed by his children Vincenzo (Viki), Nicola (Elena), and Anna (Joe) and grandchildren Vittoria, Michael, Gianna, Arcangela, Annalisa and Raffaela.

Born in Modugno, Bari, Raffaele was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, caring brother, and loyal friend. A true family man, he lived his life guided by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering sense of responsibility. He worked hard, always ensuring his family was cared for and secure, never asking for recognition — only wanting to provide and protect.

Nothing brought him more joy than his grandchildren. He adored them completely, and there was truly nothing he wouldn’t do for them. They were the light of his life, and his love for them was boundless and unmistakable.

Though his early years were not always easy, he met life with resilience and grace. He carried on with a smile on his face and a spark of mischief in his eyes — a quiet reminder of his strength, humour, and gentle defiance in the face of hardship.

Warm, funny, calm, and deeply peaceful, he had a presence that made others feel safe and at ease. Above all else, he was endlessly devoted to his wife and family, loving them with a steadiness that never wavered.

He will be remembered not only for what he did, but for who he was — a kind heart, a steady hand, and a soul that made the world feel a little softer simply by being in it. His memory will live on in our hearts forever.

Friends and family will be received at De Stefano Funeral Home – 1289 Keith Ross Drive (Oshawa) on Sunday February 1, 2026, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday February 2, 2026, at 10:30 am at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church (1001 Ravenscroft Rd., Ajax). Entombment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Cemetery & Mausoleum (33 Memory Gardens Lane, North York, ON).
