It is with deep sadness that the Schell family share the passing of Wayne Douglas Schell at Southbridge, Owen Sound on August 26, 2026 at the age of 72.
Wayne will be fondly remembered by his children Matt Schell and Nicki (Chris) Campbell. Proud grandfather of Jordon, Dylan, Brandon, Jaxon, and Caleb and great grandfather to Cecelia Schell.
Wayne is survived by his mother Lila Schell (née Tout), his siblings Ron (Sharon) Schell, Barb (Ron) Maas, Barry Schell, Julie (Dan) Vooght and Lori (Steve) Pearson, and by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his father Woodrow Schell.
Wayne was known for his love of cars and motorcycles. His days were spent tinkering with cars while his little dash hounds kept him company. In his younger years Wayne achieved a black belt in judo and continued to teach and compete in many competitions.
Wayne started his career as an electrician with Ontario Hydro and retired at Bruce Power.
A private family gathering will be held at Port Bruce Cemetery.
