WEECK, Joy Robin Brethauer Weech

Died peacefully on Tuesday September 23, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 71. Joy, loving and devoted mother of Allan and Kristi (Chris Plewes). Cherished grandmother of Marlene. Dear sister of John (Susan) Weech and loving aunt of Melissa (Paul) and Robert (Christine) and their families. Joy will also be missed by her canine companion Lindty, her chocolate Labrador, by her fellow musicians, her neighbours, their dogs, and her many friends. Joy was an accomplished musician. She played the alto saxophone in numerous bands, particularly the Barrie Concert Band for over 40 years, the Skyliners Big Band and the Simcoe County Band. She was a kind and generous woman with a bit of spunk and a wonderful sense of humour. Special Thanks to Dr. C Moran and Dr. Ng during this difficult time. She will be deeply missed.

A celebration of her life will be held on her birthday Saturday October 4th , 2025 from 12-3pm at the Wasaga Beach Lions’ Den, 1724 Mosley Street, Wasaga Beach.
