WEIST, Mark Fredrick Weist
February 4, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mark F. Weist with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the age of 61.
Survived by his loving Wife Christine Brennan-Weist, his children William Weist (Thyana), Ashley Ross (Sean), his Aunt Marlene Olender, niece Emma Brennan, brother-in-law Paul Brennan, and his mother and father-in-law Debbie and George Brennan.
Predeceased by his Mother Rita (Bunny) Hicks, his Father Donald Weist, sister Heather WeistΒ and Uncle Len Olender.
Mark spent his entire professional career in the food service industry serving customers across the country where he established many life-long relationships. He enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors, especially cheering on our son from the sidelines as William rounded the track or the X-country corner. Mark was a host like no other. He loved to entertain no matter where or what the setting, he would always ensure no one was hungry, thirsty or sitting in silence. He was fiercely devoted to his family and to his friends.Β Mark will be dearly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing this incredibly generous, accommodating, and loving man.
A special thank you to the team at Princess Margaret, Mount Sinai, Oshawa Cancer Clinic, Kingston Cancer Clinic, Bayshore Nursing, Brockville General Hospital, Brockville Cancer Clinic and the Palliative Care Team. We are so incredibly grateful for having you on Markβs roster. You were such an instrumental part in prolonging his care, thus giving us more time.
