WELLER, Ruth Evelyn Weller

She was 77, of Stratford passed away peacefully at Rotary Hospice, Stratford on May 29, 2026.

Predeceased by her husband Eric Weller December 4, 2007. Ruth is survived by her children Carl Weller (Mary) Anne and Shari Barber (Don). Loving grandmother to Hannah, Erica, Andrew, Matthew and Rachael. Sister to Rodger Diegel (Brenda), Rosemary Ralph, Sandra Cunningham (Kevin). Also survived by sister-in-law Maria Weller and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her mother Mary Mielke, brother Calvin Diegel, nephew Chris Sellen, brothers-in-law Herbie Weller (Isobel), Karl-Heinz Weller, Joseph Weller and special friend Bernie Schmitte.

Ruth Evelyn Weller worked at the Arrow Shirt Company, Flex Steel and Kroehler’s as a re-upholsterer. She later worked at Swiss Chalet where repeat customers asked to be served by her and ended her working years at Rheo Thompson Candies.

Ruth and her family would like to thank Ruth’s neighbours for their love and support over the years. Also thank you to the physicians, the team at CarePartners and the staff at Rotary Hospice for their care and compassion.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. A reception will follow the interment at Avondale Cemetery.
