WELLS, Jennie Beatrice Wells

Passed away in her 92nd year at Lakeridge Hospital Oshawa. Beloved husband of Ron for 65 years. Dear mother of Vaughn (Sandra) and Corinne Irvine (Steve). Loving grandmother to Arthur (Banu), Nye, Rachel Rogers (Kelvin), Dylan (Laura). Special great grandmother to Adalyn. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Doris Roddick. Elder sister to the late Dale (Barbara), Gary (Elizabeth), Wanda Sloan (the late Donald), Heather Mortimer (Michael), Yvonne, the late Paul, and the late Lee. Also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.

Bea and Ron had a wonderful partnership. She looked after him in the early years after illness and he looked after her, in her later years.

Jennie Beatrice Wells was given the gift of handiwork in sewing, knitting, crocheting and folk art. A pair of partially knit socks was usually near by. Her kitchen often had the aroma of butter tarts and tea biscuits.

Life…wonderful trip …not always a paved road … Laugh each day… even at yourself.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 28, 2026, at 1 pm followed by a service at 2 pm at Ebenezer United Church, 1669 Courtice Road, Courtice, Ontario, L1E 2M9. Reception to follow in church hall.

Private family internment will occur at a later date.
