Sadly, we announce the peaceful passing of Gary Edward Whiteland on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the Brockville General Hospital. He was 84 years of age.

Predeceased by his parents Anne (née Farmer) and John Whiteland. Beloved husband of 60 years to Gloria Jean (née Seeley). Dear father of Terry (Aimee), Darren, Janice, Cary, and Daryl (Christina). Adoring “Pop” to grandchildren Jordan, Michael, Christie, Abigail, Drew, and Jena, and great-grandfather to Miles, Mario, and Miles.

Fondly remembered by his brother Ritchie (Marguerite) and sister Vicki (Chris) Corfe. Predeceased by his sisters Donna and Heather.

Gary was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan and well known throughout the Brockville community. He will be dearly missed by his many friends and extended family.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James St. E., Brockville.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Sherwood Park Manor are welcomed by the family in Gary’s memory.

The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors at Brockville General Hospital, whose exceptional care and compassion made Gary’s last days peaceful and comfortable.
