WHITTAKER, Robert James Whittaker

Entered into rest peacefully on June 21, 2026, at Gardenview Nursing Home, Parkview Meadows, in his 83rd year.

Robert James Whittaker was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Joyce Whittaker.

Father of Rob (Alicia) and Trish (Doug). Grandfather of Cassondra (Gavin), Ellie, and Tyler (Kenzie), and great-grandfather of Wesley.

Brother of Doreen (predeceased by Bob McCarten) and Richard (Liv). Bob will also be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Bob was a dedicated member of Iron Workers Local 736 for more than 50 years. A lifelong cowboy at heart, passionate about rodeos, horse racing and hockey (RNHL)

We take comfort in knowing that he is now riding endless boundaries.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Gardenview Nursing Home at Parkview Meadows for their compassionate care and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date.
