WHORRALL, Allan Geoffrey “Al” Whorrall

March 2, 1937 - July 26, 2026

Beloved husband on Noella, passed away peacefully at the age of 89. Born on March 2, 1937 to the late Lewis and Aspell (Kewley) Whorrall in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

At the age of 22, Al joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and enjoyed 31 years of service to our country. He loved his airplanes. After he retired from the regular Armed Forces, he joined the S. D. G. Highlanders for another 5 years retiring again as Captain. Al proceeded to take an active part in the Royal Canadian Legion in Long Sault serving as Service Officer for several years.

Al is survived by his 2 children, Mark (Patti) and Leslie (Adrian) Kimberley of BC and 2 stepdaughters, Laura Ann (Michel) Mulligan Ravary and Sandra Mulligan. He also has 2 grandsons, Kieran and Cole Kimberley, 2 step-grandsons, Joseph (Tetyana) Ravary and Jack (Sydney) Ravary and 1 great granddaughter, Elouise Ravary. Al leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins both in Canada and the Isle of Man.

Al was predeceased by his 3 brothers, Douglas, David and Bobby.

Al was a very active volunteer in Cornwall and South Stormont in many activities including meals on wheels, the Lost Villages, Shriners, and his beloved library. He loved travelling and once Noella retired they spent the next many years seeing the world by cruise ships, motor home and their own planned vacations.
Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home 822 Pitt St. Cornwall, Ont. The family invites friends and extended family members to join them in honoring Al’s life with a visitation being held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 from 9-11:00 am. To be followed immediately with a Chapel Service at 11:00 am. Burial will take place that same day at St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery in Ingleside.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to CHEO or the Shriner’s Hospital in his name.
