WILKINS, Maria Wilkins

Passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, at the age of 98.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Cyril Wilkins, as well as her longtime best friend, Janith Sherman (2019). Their bonds of love and friendship were among the greatest blessings of her life.

Maria is survived by her dear sister-in-law, Beryl Kurth (Joseph, 2017) and her nieces and nephews Andrew, Susan and Michelle who reside in England. She will also be deeply missed by her adoptive families, the Amlin, Clark, Snider, and Sherman families, who cherished her as one of their own.

Maria’s long life was marked by enduring friendships, deep loyalty, and quiet strength that carried her gracefully through nearly a century of change. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and steadfast devotion to those fortunate enough to know her.

As per Maria’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and an interment will occur at Parkwood Cemetery in Waterloo at a later date.
