Baragar David William 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of David William Baragar on August 28, 2025  at the age of 75.

Born to Noble and Bernice (Mason) Baragar, David was a proud father to Deborah and Jennifer (Ralph), and a beloved grandfather to Nathan, Justin, and Juliette. He was a cherished brother to Linda and Mary, and is predeceased by siblings Ken, Rod, and Norma.

David lived a life rooted in hard work and practical skill. A true jack of all trades, he spent his life farming, mining, driving trucks, and tinkering in the garage. There wasn’t much he couldn’t fix or figure out and his hands were rarely still, often found deep in a tractor or fine-tuning an engine.

He also found great enjoyment in fishing, hunting, and time spent in nature. His passion for engines and the outdoors was matched only by his love of music. A talented guitarist, banjo and fiddle player, he shared his love of music with friends and family throughout his life.

David will be remembered for his stories, humor, and generous spirit. He leaves behind many who loved him, including his nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on September 21, 2025, at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Lake St. Peter. A celebration of life and luncheon will follow, 1:30-4:00 PM at the Lake St. Peter Community Centre.
