WILLIAMS, Marian Althea “Anne” Williams

Marian Althea “Anne” Williams (née Boddington) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in Port Perry, Ontario.

Born in India to a British Army couple and raised in England, France, and Italy, Anne led a life filled with adventure, compassion, and a deep love for people and nature. She trained as a nurse in London before moving to Canada, where she built a rich and meaningful life surrounded by family, friends, and the great outdoors.

Anne’s adventurous spirit brought joy to those around her—whether boating along the BC coast, gardening with care, or tending to the many animals that crossed her path. Her sharp intelligence, dry humour, and warm heart made her a beloved member of every community she touched, from the Middlesex Hospital Nurses’ Home to Salt Spring Island, Yellow Point, Victoria, Saturna Island, and beyond.

A devoted wife to Ivor, Charles, and again to Ivor, Anne was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, step-mother, step-grandmother, friend, and neighbour. She welcomed others with open arms, observing the world with perceptiveness and kindness.

She will be dearly missed by her children Margaret-Ann (Don DeBats, dec.), Simon (Kimmy), and Alison (Steve DeNure); her brother John Boddington (Suzanne); grandchildren and spouses Theodora & Grant, Lauren & Alessandra, Graham & Sylviane, Matti & Monika, Derek, Claire, and Iain; and great-grandchildren Max, August, Eloise, Lucia, Keira, Miila, and Duncan. She is fondly remembered by extended family in the Boddington, Cohn, Crofton, DeBats, DeNure, Vega, Walls, and Williams families, as well as dear friends of all ages.

The family extends their gratitude to the staff at West Shore Village for their compassionate care. Private arrangements have been entrusted to Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street, Port Perry.
