It is with deep love and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Raymond Ezekiel Williams, who departed this life peacefully at the age of 89, surrounded by the comfort of his family at home.
Born and raised in Jamaica, Raymond’s life was marked by courage, service, and unwavering generosity. As a young man, he moved to England, where he proudly served in the Royal Air Force. His journey eventually led him to Canada, the place where he would build a home and a life filled with love, purpose, and family.
In Canada, Raymond met his beloved wife, Debbie, with whom he shared a devoted and enduring marriage. He was a proud father of four children, Carey, Torey, Raymond, and Ryan. His legacy lives on in his eight cherished grandchildren: Chelsea, Luca, Rio, Eziray, Taya, Jackson, Alessia, and Miles. Raymond is also lovingly remembered by his younger sister, Merle.
A man of quiet strength and open-hearted generosity, Raymond was always ready to lend a hand, never hesitating to help a neighbour, no matter the inconvenience. He lived by a simple, profound principle: always help others.
Raymond had many chapters in his life, each marked by resilience, compassion, and dignity. Those who knew him will never forget his deep love for jazz music, the timeless classics were his constant companions and brought him comfort and joy.
His presence, wisdom, and kindness will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
