WUNCH, Philip – In the early hours of Shabbat, our dear husband, father, and grandfather, Phil Wunch, left us with memories of his captivating smile, his love and devotion, and his zest for living.

Phil was the son of the late Irving and Clara Wunch and the adored husband of Eileen (Chetner). A devoted father, stepfather, and father-in-law to Lisa, Hartley, Jonathan, and Adina, Phil was the beloved Zaidy to Carly, Ella, Zoey, and Rayna, who brightened his every day.

Family was everything to Phil. He offered unwavering support to his children’s careers, enriched their lives with joyful experiences, and created lasting memories through fun-filled family moments.

Phil held close relationships with his sister and brother-in-law Fern and Russ Mahronic of Scottsdale, and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Marleen and Jerry Lipschultz of Highland Park, Illinois, and their family.

A respected professional, Phil’s career in accounting brought lifelong friendships and fulfillment. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Julie for her gentle care, and to the compassionate staff at Floral Place, 3rd Floor, Baycrest, who became like family and provided exceptional care.
