YEO, Earl Yeo

Passed away peacefully at his home in Listowel on Monday, August 25, 2025, in his 89th year.

Cherished father of Cheryl & Corey Smith of Listowel, the late Denise Goetz (Mark), and Nancy Jo Pitman of Hamilton.

Beloved “Poppa” of Vanessa & Michael Whitfield of Listowel, Amber & Matthew Lester of Listowel, Leanne Goetz of Calgary, AB, and Stephanie & Carlos Lostanaw, and Adrian & Vanessa Murchison, all of Hamilton.

Forever missed by his great-grandchildren; Isabella, Benjamin, Dominic, Landyn, Isabela, and Alejandra.

Uncle of Don & Susan Tremble, Debbie Tremble, Dale Tremble (Ashley), Doug Tremble, and Donna & Todd Edwards.

Predeceased by and reunited with his parents Russell & Mae (Thompson) Yeo, brothers Harold and Don, sister Marjorie, daughter Denise, wife Gloria, and his life partner Diane.

Earl worked for many years for Malcolm Furniture in Listowel until its closure, and then joined Ideal Supply where he worked right up until retirement. To keep busy, he would often drive for Larry Hudson’s car dealership.

Earl enjoyed spending most of his time with his grandchildren, driving around town to visit friends and family, and on a sunny weekend you would find him at the Varney Speedway watching his great-nephews race.

Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 10:00 until time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at Parkview Gardens (Listowel Legion).

Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation or Humane Society would be appreciated.
