Clementine (aka Mother or Sister Yorke) loved helping others whole heartedly. Her home in Portsmouth Dominica was like a refuge for many. Her favorite travel destination was Guadeloupe to visit family where many of her siblings, nieces and nephews resided. Clementine had a passion for sewing as a professional seamstress which she enjoyed with great enthusiasm. She also taught many young ladies in the community to sew. As a devoted Christian she served her home church with gladness.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday November 22, 2025 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street, Bowmanville, with the service to follow at 11:00am in the chapel.

We wish to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to us during this hour of bereavement. May God Bless and Keep You!

The Yorke’s Family

God’s Garden

God looked around his garden

And found an empty place,

He then looked down upon the earth

And saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you

And lifted you to rest.

God’s garden must be beautiful

He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering

He knew you were in pain.

He knew that you would never

Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough

And the hills were hard to climb.

So he closed your weary eyelids

And whispered, ‘Peace bethine’.

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you didn’t go alone,

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.
