YOUNG, John Guyatt Young

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of John Guyatt Young on November 29, 2025, in his 97th year. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Patricia (née Gawley). John will be lovingly remembered by his children Dale (Joe), Dave (Brenda), Barbara, Bev (Mike), Sue (Mic), and Tom (Cindy). He will be forever missed by his grandchildren, Ashley, Lindsay, Derek, Jordan, Allison, Carly, Shannon D, Shannon P and Reuben and three great-grandchildren.

John was predeceased by his parents, John and Lillian, and his sister Inez (Harry). The Young family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Lyle & Janet and Dan & Marlene for their friendship and support to both John and Pat over the years. He will be loved and missed by many extended family members and friends.

John was a member of the Dofasco Male Chorus for many years and enjoyed fishing trips every spring with his family. Mom and Dad spent many summers at Lake Erie and took pleasure in a hosting family and friends.

The family would like to extend many thanks to the Lakeview Retirement Centre for their compassion and care of John this past year.
