It is with sadness that the passing of Yvonne MacDonald (Sydney, Nova Scotia) is shared. Yvonne, born on June 22, 1939, passed away on October 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father James Goode; her husband Walter “Bubbie” MacDonald; her sister Alayne; and her brother-in-law Fred Stassen. She is survived by: her mother Ruth Goode (Gibbons); her son Miles; her daughter-in-law Danelle; her sister Gertrude Betts; her cousin Miriam Siwak (Bill); and her friends, Lakshmi Puttagunta (Joe Mann) and Rose Gillis (Blaise). She is also survived by Mom will be dearly missed by her family, friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sydney Memorial Chapel (49 Welton St, Sydney, NS B1P5R3). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Knox United Church (1588 Coxheath Rd, Sydney, NS B1L1B3).
