ZANETI, Vlado Zaneti

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Vlado Zaneti, who passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at the age of 85, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Croatia, Vlado came to Canada in 1969 in search of opportunity and a better future for his family. He spent most of his years doing what he loved best — carpentry. His craftsmanship reflected the quiet strength and care with which he lived his life. Although Canada became his home, his heart was always connected to Croatia. Over the years, he returned many times to visit family and the homeland he never forgot. His roots and heritage remained an important part of who he was.

Vlado was the last surviving sibling of five. He outlived his three brothers and his sister, whose passing last year followed shortly after the loss of his wife. These losses were deeply felt, yet he carried their memories with him always.

Vlado is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Mirjana, leaving behind his only daughter, Suzana (Mirko Krolo), and his cherished grandchildren, Bianka and Mateo. Vlado loved his family and his home deeply. He took great pride in his grandchildren and always encouraged them to be the best they could be — to work hard, stay humble, and value family above all.

Vlado will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him. His kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family will remain in our hearts always.
